Dark Chocolate Pistachio Blondie
Blondies have a similar flavor to chocolate chip cookies without having to individually portion each cookie. I am a big fan of the dark chocolate/pistachio combo.
Dark Chocolate Pistachio Blondie
1/2 cup salted butter, melted
1 cup dark brown sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup pistachios, chopped
flaky sea salt (optional)
In a medium sized mixing bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar. Add the egg and stir until completely combined.
Add baking powder, soda, salt, and flour. Use a spatula to stir until combined. Add dark chocolate chips and chopped pistachios, stir until combined.
Spread into a parchment lined and greased 8 inch square pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until the center is set and the blondies are golden brown. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
Cool completely. Cut into squares. Serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
