William & Sonoma Truffle Cake DUPE
Calling all CHOCOLATE LOVERS!! This one's for you! Also, this would make a great gift for Valentine's Day it’s basically one giant truffle.
William & Sonoma Truffle Cake
Cake:
2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup salted butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa powder
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Ganache:
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
About 18 Lindt dark chocolate truffles, unwrapped
Cocoa powder
In a microwave-safe dish heat chocolate chips and butter for 30 seconds. Stir until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl mix sugar, cocoa, and chocolate mixture until smooth.
Add eggs, vanilla, and salt. Stir until smooth. Pour into a prepared 6-inch springform pan.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until nearly set. Allow to cool completely.
In a microwave-safe dish heat cream for 20 seconds or until hot and steamy. Add chocolate chips. Allow to sit for 1 minute. Stir until smooth.
Pour over the flourless chocolate cake. Allow to cool for a few minutes. Press truffles into the ganache.
Refrigerate for 6-8 hours or overnight. Sift cocoa powder over the top. Serve! Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
